Lincolnshire is a haven for butterflies, and for those with a passion for lepidoptera, as a one off event to be hosted this month aims to prove.
Lincolnshire's Butterfly Conservation society is hosting a special event designed to demonstrate the diversity and quantity of butterflies and months in Lincolnshire's limewoods with a special event on 31st July at Chambers Farm Wood.
Attendees with meet at the Eduction Centre, built in 2010 by volunteers from reclaimed timber from the ancient limewoods.
The walk will take place at 11am and will be hosted by Peter Cawdell from the Butterfly Conservation Society.
Visitors to the event can expect to see white admiral, white-letter hairstreak, purple hairstreak and marbled white butterflies, and other species besides, all in their natural habitat.
